Special Issue on Web-based Learning and Educational Technology  


Web-based learning uses web-based technologies or tools in learning process. Learners mainly use computers to interact with the teacher, other students and learning material. Distance education is the education of students who may not always be physically present at a school. Web-based courses may have some face-to-face sessions besides the distant learning tasks.


Educational technology is the use of both physical hardware and educational theory. It encompasses several domains including learning theory, computer-based training, online learning, and m-learning where mobile technologies are used.


In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Web-based Learning and Educational Technology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Distance education
  • Virtual learning environment
  • Computer-assisted learning
  • Intelligent educational system
  • Mobile technology and applications
  • Internet usage
  • Web services and learning system
  • Educational media
  • Online courses design

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.


Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Web-based Learning and Educational Technology” should be chosen during your submission.
