ABSTRACT: An interpolymer membrane based on Chitosan and sodium carboxymethylcellulose was formed using the synthetic boundary method in an analytical ultracentrifuge. Membrane formation was monitored by the optical system, enabling quantitative evaluation of thickness, symmetry, and homogeneity. The effects of polymer concentration, pH, and molecular weight on membrane formation kinetics were investigated.
