ABSTRACT: Place attachment is an important content in the study of “people-place” relationship in humanistic geography. As the primary area to undertake urban radiation, suburban villages have undergone tremendous changes in their physical and social environments, and the relationship between people and land in suburban villages has also changed. The place attachment of residents in suburban villages is the result of the interaction between residents and the village environment. By constructing a place attachment model of residents in suburban villages from the perspective of village organism theory, and evaluating the residents in the case area, it was found that among the various factors of place attachment, the blood relationship factor item has the highest score. The item has the highest score, followed by the political relationship factor item. The ideological relationship factor item has the lowest score, and the economic relationship factor item has the lowest score. Residents with different household registration and housing types have the most significant difference in the degree of place attachment. Residents’ place attachment affects residents’ willingness to live and their behavior in participating in village construction. Therefore, in the future transformation and development of the village, attention should be paid to the cultivation and improvement of residents’ place attachment level.
