ABSTRACT: This paper based on the results of an empirical study which concerns the application of narrow reading on Stomatological English, analyzes the selection of reading material, the principle for theme and the implementation requirements of narrow reading and thus sharpens the rational cognition. This paper discusses the effects of narrow reading on improving students’ professional knowledge and English. Moreover, this paper provides valuable references of applications of narrow reading in medical English reading.
