Special Issue on Pandemics and Social Science
Pandemics
and Social Science seeks to explore the multifaceted social, economic,
political, and cultural impacts of pandemics through the lens of the social
sciences. It welcomes interdisciplinary research that examines how societies
respond to health crises, including changes in public behavior, governance,
communication, inequality, mental health, labor, and education. By drawing on
disciplines such as sociology, anthropology, economics, political science,
psychology, and public policy, this theme aims to deepen our understanding of
how pandemics reshape human interaction, expose systemic vulnerabilities, and
influence long-term social transformation on both local and global scales.
