Special Issue on Surfactants and Detergents
Surfactant,
also called surface-active agent, substance such as a detergent that, when
added to a liquid, reduces its surface tension, thereby increasing its
spreading and wetting properties. Surfactants play an important role as
cleaning, wetting, dispersing, emulsifying, foaming and anti-foaming agents in
many practical applications and products.
In this special issue, we intend to invite
front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review
articles on exploring Surfactants and Detergents. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Composition and structure
-
Dynamics of surfactants at interfaces
-
Structure of surfactant phases in water
-
Detergents in biochemistry and biotechnology
-
Petrochemical and oleochemical surfactants
-
Synthesis, physicochemical and functional
properties, and biodegradability
-
Surface active properties
-
Mixed surfactants and surfactant-polymer
systems
-
Characterization and analysis of surfactants
-
Non-ionic and zwitterionic detergents
-
Surfactant development and formulation
-
Detergent development, manufacturing, and
formulation
-
Performance, test method development, and
analysis of surfactants and detergents
-
Environmental fate of surfactants and
detergent
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully
before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of
their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Surfactants
and Detergents” should be selected during your submission.
