ABSTRACT: Calciphylaxis is a condition of induced hypersensitivity in which tissues respond to challenge agents with local calcification. This article reports the first known case of diffuse calciphylaxis associated with acute myeloid leukemia resulting in death from hypoxic respiratory failure and refractory hypotension.
