ABSTRACT: The aim of this study was to compare the quality of adaptation and the satisfaction with life of two groups of adults who retired at different ages. Participants were 579 French retirees: 234 had retired before the age of 60, and 345 after 60. The two samples differed in their own perception and appreciation of the age at which they retired.
