ABSTRACT: The idea is that inside the phase of a wave, there exists a variational structure. This allows a correspondence with Hamiltonian Mechanics. This allows a correspondence between waves and particles. Combined with Dispersive Wave Theory, results from Quantum Mechanics follow.
