  ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study is to investigate how cashierless technology affects Amazon’s stock market performance using scatterplot graphics, T-tests, and regression analysis. The paper analyses changes in Amazon stock return and volatility before and after the launch of cashierless technology in Amazon’s first grocery store. The results show a significant decrease in volatility, which suggests that the market sees the cashierless technology as a way to make things more stable. But there isn’t a statistically significant difference in stock returns, indicating that while innovation may influence risk perception, it does not necessarily translate into short-term gains.
