  ABSTRACT: In recent years, heightened environmental concerns have spurred an increased interest in sustainable practices within the hospitality industry, particularly concerning green hotels. Among the theoretical models used to understand pro-environmental behavior, the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) has emerged as a dominant framework. This study provides a systematic literature review (SLR) of the application of TPB in green hotel research. An initial search of the Web of Science database yielded 235 records published between 2010 and 2024. After applying rigorous screening and eligibility criteria following PRISMA guidelines, 43 peer-reviewed articles were included for final analysis. The review identifies key publication outlets, authors, and regions, with the International Journal of Hospitality Management, researchers from China, and Griffith University as major contributors. Thematic analysis reveals that most studies emphasize intention rather than actual behavior or post-consumption outcomes. While some extend TPB with constructs such as environmental concern and green trust, theoretical integration remains limited. The findings highlight the need for broader theoretical models and more diverse methodological approaches in sustainable hospitality research.
