ABSTRACT: Using the relativistic equation of motion in 1-D, a study is made to see the possibility for a body to travel faster than the speed of light. It is found that neither by external force nor internal force, it is not possible to have a speed-body faster than the speed of light. In addition, an observation is made to respect the so-called proper time of a body. This observation brings about a new definition of the proper time concept.
