ABSTRACT: This paper focuses on the low production line balance rate and prominent bottleneck processes in smoothie machine production line. It employs industrial engineering methodologies to conduct optimization research. The stopwatch time research method is used to determine the operation time of each workstation, and the standard time of the process is determined by standardization analysis, then the operation status of the production line is diagnosed and evaluated, and the 5W1H question technology and ECRS principle are used to optimize the process. In view of the bottleneck process, the two-hand operation was analyzed, and the operator’s two-hand action was improved according to the principle of action economy. The results show that the balance rate, balance rate, loss rate, production takt time and daily capacity of the improved production line have been greatly improved. This study provides effective methodologies and practical case references for household appliance manufacturing.
