ABSTRACT: This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the most important criteria influencing the precision glass molding (PGM) cycle, which was proposed using the finite element (FE) method through the MARC system. The FE models used in numerical simulations were compared with the experimental results of the first phase. The results showed that a significant increase in residual stress in N-BK7 optical glass was manifested in the heating phase in 192 seconds at a temperature of 125˚C. The deformation measurement results of selected experimental samples confirmed the high quality of the surface of the moldings and the accuracy of PGM production. Based on the evaluation of the results, the conditions for the production of photovoltaic glass components were proposed.
