ABSTRACT: This paper summarizes the development history, main types and key factors affecting the performance of crowdfunding as an emerging financing method. The article reviews the historical origins of crowdfunding and organizes the types and distinctions of crowdfunding campaigns. Based on relevant literature from top journals in the field of economics and management, it systematically reviews the determinants of crowdfunding performance, the influencing mechanisms and the conditions of success. The article discusses the role of crowdfunding in promoting financing for small and medium-sized projects, entrepreneurship and economic innovation, and points out that future research should strengthen interdisciplinary perspectives and integrated approaches, with a view to providing more solid support for theoretical improvement and practical guidance.
