ABSTRACT: This study explores the innovative use of dried eggshell powder (ESP) as a bio-based filler in asphalt mixtures, aiming to improve resistance to moisture damage while reducing environmental impact. By partially substituting conventional limestone fillers with ESP, the research evaluates mechanical and durability properties under various substitution ratios. Laboratory tests, including Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), and water absorption measurements, were conducted to characterize ESP. Asphalt mixtures were tested for moisture susceptibility, stability, and resistance to freeze-thaw cycles. Results demonstrate that mixtures incorporating 7% ESP achieved superior performance, with enhanced compaction, reduced permeability, and improved durability under wet conditions. These findings suggest that ESP offers a sustainable alternative filler for road construction, contributing to circular economy objectives and the reduction of construction waste.
