ABSTRACT: This article examines the global phenomenon of problem-solving courts, exploring their evolution, fundamental principles and impact on contemporary judicial systems. The transition of this innovative model from the criminal to the civil sphere is analyzed, highlighting its applications in different jurisdictions and areas of law. The study addresses the challenges faced in implementing these courts, including issues of legitimacy, effectiveness and adaptability to diverse legal and cultural contexts. Through a comparative perspective, the article evaluates the potential of problem-solving courts to reform traditional justice systems, promoting a more holistic approach focused on the effective resolution of complex social and legal conflicts.
