ABSTRACT: There are significant differences between Chinese traditional painting and Western traditional painting in terms of expression, aesthetic pursuit, and philosophical foundation. Perspective, as an essential technique in painting, is not only a means of spatial expression but also a carrier of cultural and intellectual ideas. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the philosophical thoughts and aesthetic interests behind Perspective in traditional Chinese and Western paintings by comparing them in detail, to reveal the evolution and development of Perspective in different cultural contexts, and to explore the possibilities of exchange between Chinese and Western art and future trends.
