ABSTRACT: Digital payment methods are becoming more and more popular due to their accessibility and convenience of use, which has significantly changed how financial transactions are conducted. However, a number of new legal challenges in the area of consumer protection are also brought about by this transformation. This article explores the main challenges surrounding digital payments, such as problems with fraud, privacy and data protection, transparency, and jurisdictional intricacies. This study seeks to provide a thorough overview of the current state of consumer protection in the era of digital payments by assessing the current legal frameworks and highlighting important concerns. The research also aims to provide answers to these issues in order to improve consumer protection.
