ABSTRACT: The literacy of rural teachers directly determines the high-quality and sustainable development of rural education. In the context of rural revitalization, the job burnout of rural junior high school English teachers cannot be ignored. Through a case study, this paper presents the narrative story of the burnout of rural junior high school English teachers after the 90s, exposes the underlying factors that still lead to burnout, and finally puts forward suggestions to alleviate the burnout of rural middle school English teachers.
