ABSTRACT: Poverty is a global problem, and in order to eliminate it, China has enacted a variety of policies, and the cause of poverty alleviation and reduction has achieved world-renowned success. At the same time, China’s language poverty alleviation endeavour has also made remarkable achievements, and the relevant theories on language poverty alleviation have gradually been enriched. This paper analyzes the knowledge map of Chinese language poverty alleviation research in 2018-2024 in terms of issuing authors, issuing institutions, core keywords and other knowledge maps, using academic papers in the CNKI database as the database and the information visualization software CiteSpace as the research tool. Visual mapping suggests that the research process of language poverty alleviation in China can be divided into two phases, with a relative isolation and lack of co-operation between both the scholars and institutions conducting the research. In recent years, research perspectives in this field of study have tended to diversify and show a trend of multidisciplinary crossover, with “rural revitalisation” as the core research theme. In the new international and domestic situation, theoretical and methodological innovations in language poverty alleviation and the exploration of cooperation mechanisms are the main directions of future efforts.
