  ABSTRACT: This study examined the relationship between pay satisfaction and the innovative behavior of employees. It also examined whether self-efficacy and organizational commitment positively mediate the above relationship. In addition, the moderating role of social comparison orientation in the relationship between self-efficacy and innovative behavior is examined. Using SPSS 25.0 software to analyze 305 questionnaires presented to employees, the main hypotheses were tested. The result of the analysis showed that pay satisfaction has a significant positive relationship with innovative behavior of employees. The results also showed that self-efficacy and organizational commitment partially mediated the relationship between pay satisfaction and employee innovative behavior. Moreover, there was a negative moderating effect of social comparison orientation on the relationship between employee self-efficacy and innovative behavior.
