ABSTRACT: In this paper, we study the fifth-order Camassa-Holm equation with weakly dissipative term. We first give the local well-posedness result and the blow up criterion. Then, we establish sufficient conditions to guarantee that the solution exists globally in time. Finally, the infinite propagation speed of this equation is also investigated.
