ABSTRACT: The study aimed at examining human resource management (HRM) practices and its influence on the performance of the poultry industry. The study employed a descriptive survey design based on the quantitative approach. Self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from 164 poultry farmers. The data collected was analysed using both descriptive and inferential statistical tools. The results indicated that there was a significant positive relationship between human resource management practices and the performance of the poultry industry. The study recommends that the poultry farmers association provide training to farmers on the best HRM practices in order to turn the fortune of the poultry industry.
