ABSTRACT: Integrated English is one of the compulsory courses in colleges, and combining critical thinking cultivation with the course is an inevitable tendency. Based on Cooperative Learning Theory, this paper aims to analyze the corresponding strategies of cultivating critical thinking and its assessment approaches, so as to pave the way for effective teaching of critical thinking for Chinese university students.
