ABSTRACT:
Friedrich and coauthors [1] propose that two prominent eruption deposits of
Santorini Volcano are in fact the same unit, resulting in a major reinterpretation
of the volcanic history of this caldera. Here I summarize published field
and petrological evidence showing that their proposal is not correct.
