Abstract: The model based on component in agile development is a new model of software development, because of its inherent characteristic, the traditional methods of reliability analysis for component-based soft- ware system are not completely applied in the model. Therefore, the incremental iteration process based on component in agile development was analyzed, a method of reliability analysis was proposed which combin- ing the collective rate of defects and adequacy of test cases, in the method, the project based on component in agile development was divided into different functional components, the reliability point of each component in per iteration was estimated, the reliability of software system was gained when iteration was end. Finally, the example of application for the method was explained
