Abstract: |
Smart Grid is the typical application scenario for Internet of Things (IoT), IoT technology is the infrastructure for information sensing and transmission for Smart Grid. In this paper, basic IoT applications of power transmission, distribution, consumption, information security technology and standard system of Smart Grid are introduced. Then, power-line monitoring, comprehensive security protection of power facilities and smart inspection of power transmission, distribution and substation are introduced and the convergence scheme of Smart Grid and IoT are discussed. Finally, multiple applications of IoT in Smart Grid are shown in the conclusion section.
