Abstract: In the article it analyses the characteristics of domain component and the specificity of component evolution. Based on GQM metric method, this paper proposed an component evolve metric model facing to field, and a main metric for component evolution process is proposed. All that the authors are of credible foundation for managing, controlling and evaluating component evolution of a software system.
