Abstract: In MB-OFDM UWB systems, traditional channel estimation algorithms suppose the channel length as known, which adds the estimation error. A novel channel estimation algorithm is studied in this paper. The new algorithm exploits Least Squares (LS) technique for channel estimation and GAIC to estimate the channel length. It reduces the estimation dimensions, and improves the estimation performance. Then the performance of the algorithms is analyzed. Simulation results confirm proposed algorithm has lower Mean Square Error (MSE).
