Abstract: This paper first introduces the difficult point about non-structural data in digital earth, secondly introduces a solution about non-structural data storage and management in digital earth. This paper designs a system about non-structural data management, and introduces the main part and basic operation of the system. The non-structural data in digital earth refers to the data which has no apparent structure, and can not be divided into fixed element. The non-structural data contains a wealth of useful information, but the number and length of the code is not fixed, and is difficult to manage and store. This system uses data dictionary to support the management of variable length data. The system builds hash index to speed up the visiting and searching speed, and also build the free list to reuse the free storage space. The experiment results indicate that this system supports the storage of the variable length field, and quick search as well.
