ABSTRACT

Globalization has made talents that are otherwise inaccessible become available to become part of teams either physically or virtually. Accordingly, there has been increasing interest in evaluating the impact of the development. Researchers, though with a few exceptions point to numerous benefits from the development, citing the ability to acquire better quality skillsets from the abundance, and improved performance by teams and organizations. We have conducted our survey to find out the motivating elements, other than the advantages of quality skills, in association with the challenges associated with cultural differences and languages that make project teams with diverse team members succeed. We compared diversity project teams and non-diversity project teams using certain motivational elements, and we came up with 9 critical elements that drive the team members and leave room for other factors that may be identified.
