ABSTRACT

As an ancient style of recording, murals can be traced back to ancient times. In the prosperous Tang Dynasty, tomb murals also served as a special form to showcase the daily life and unique customs of the Tang Dynasty people. Female themed paintings have a long history in China, and in Tang Dynasty tomb murals, female images also played an important role. The female images in the Tang Dynasty tomb murals are at a height that other dynasties cannot match in various aspects, exuding unique artistic charm. While creating classics, they also leave rich cultural soil for the development of our future painting. This article discusses the main characteristics of characters in female paintings of Tang Dynasty tombs, and further analyzes the shaping characteristics of the characters.
