Special Issue on Highway and Transportation Research and Development

Transportation is the general term of transportation, post and telecommunications. Transportation is the transportation of people and things by means of transportation, resulting in purposeful spatial displacement. Transportation is the basic need and prerequisite for economic development. Highway transportation is an important part of transportation system. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Highway and Transportation Research and Development.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Highway and Transportation Research and Development. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Highway transportation economy and management
• Intelligent transportation systems and traffic engineering
• Road engineering
• Bridge and tunnel engineering
• Transportation engineering and traffic control
• Transportation planning and technology
• Traffic signals
• Transport safety
