Special Issue on Urban Water Management
Urban Water Management refers to the planning, development,
distribution, and governance of water resources within urban environments to
ensure sustainable supply, efficient usage, and effective wastewater treatment.
It encompasses integrated approaches to managing drinking water systems,
stormwater, and sewage infrastructure while addressing challenges such as rapid
urbanization, climate change, flooding, and water scarcity. The field combines
engineering, environmental science, and policy frameworks to optimize water
cycles in cities, promote resource conservation, enhance resilience, and
protect public health and urban ecosystems.
In this
special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring Urban
Water Management. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Water supply systems
-
Wastewater treatment
-
Stormwater management
-
Urban flood control
-
Integrated water resources management
-
Urban hydrology
-
Water distribution networks
-
