Special Issue on
Anthropology and the Dynamics of Development
Anthropology and the Dynamics of Development explores
how cultural, social, political, and economic factors influence and interact
with development processes across different societies. This field emphasizes
the importance of understanding local contexts, indigenous knowledge systems,
and community perspectives when designing and implementing development
projects. Anthropologists contribute critical insights into the unintended
consequences of development interventions and advocate for participatory,
inclusive, and culturally sensitive approaches. By examining power relations,
identity, and global-local dynamics, anthropology offers valuable tools for
creating more equitable and sustainable development outcomes.
