Special Issue on Construction & Building Materials


Building materials are any materials used for construction purposes. Building materials can generally be divided into two sources, natural materials and synthetic materials. The most common building materials in construction are wood, cement, aggregates, metals, bricks, concrete, and clay. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Construction & Building Materials.


In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Construction & Building Materials. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:


  • Application in new works and repair practice
  • Nano material in concrete
  • Civil engineering structures
  • Ecological building materials
  • Materials in bridges, railways and dams
  • Structural material
  • Thermal insulation materials and building energy conservation
  • Finishing material
  • Green building material
  • Chemical materials for construction



Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
