Special Issue on Geochemistry
Geochemistry is the science that uses the tools and principles of chemistry to explain the mechanisms behind major geological systems such as the Earth’s crust and its oceans. The realm of geochemistry extends beyond the Earth, encompassing the entire Solar System and has made important contributions to the understanding of a number of processes including mantle convection, the formation of planets and the origins of granite and basalt.
Geochemistry has applications in many aspects of human endeavor, such as the preservation of the environment, environmental monitoring, agriculture, health, waste disposal and the search for resources.
The issue on “Geochemistry” will be focusing on the latest development in this field. Topics covered include, but are not limited to:
-
Isotope geochemistry
-
Organic geochemistry
-
Inorganic geochemistry
-
Environmental geochemistry
-
Hydrogeochemistry, surface and groundwater
-
Medical geochemistry
-
Agricultural geochemistry
-
The search for energy resources
-
The search for mineral deposits
-
Waste disposal
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Geochemistry.
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors' Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal's Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue —Geochemistry” should be chosen during your submission.
