Special Issue on Celestial Mechanics

Celestial mechanics is a branch subject of astronomy which was formed early. It mainly researches the motions and shapes of celestial bodies to produce ephemeris data based on the mechanics laws. In the past, celestial mechanics primarily involves the celestial bodies in the solar system. After the fifties of the 20th century, it was also applied in the study of artificial celestial bodies and other stellar system with few members. The prominent achievement of celestial dynamics is the establishment of astrodynamics, which researches and develops the various orbits of artificial satellites.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring celestial mechanics. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Principles of celestial mechanics
  • Methods of celestial mechanics
  • Celestial mechanics experiment
  • Perturbation theory
  • Relativistic celestial mechanics
  • Astrodynamics

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Celestial Mechanics” should be chosen during your submission.
