Special Issue on Biodiversity Research

Biodiversity refers to the variety of life on Earth at all its levels, from genes to ecosystems, and the ecological and evolutionary processes that sustain it. Biodiversity includes not only species we consider rare, threatened, or endangered, but every living thing—even organisms we still know little about, such as microbes, fungi, and invertebrates. Biodiversity is important everywhere; species and habitats in your area as well as those in distant lands all play a role in maintaining healthy ecosystems. As one of the most important and timely research fields of human life, biodiversity and ecological protection is of great attraction to researchers.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore biodiversity research. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Biodiversity and ecosystem services
• Biodiversity and agriculture
• Biodiversity and human health      
• Biodiversity, business and industry
• Measurement of biodiversity
• Ecological controls on biodiversity
• Threats To biodiversity
• Climate change and biodiversity

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Biodiversity Research” should be selected during your submission.
