Special Issue on Pneumonia

Pneumonia is an infection of the lung that affects primarily the microscopic air sacs (alveoli). The air sacs may be stuffed with fluid or pus (purulent material), causing cough, vomiting, chest pain, stuffy nose, fever, chills, and difficulty breathing. Pneumonia can be caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, certain drugs and other conditions such as autoimmune diseases.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Pneumonia. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Aspiration pneumonia

  • Bronchopneumonia
  • Interstitial pneumonia
  • Lobar pneumonia
  • Pneumococcal pneumonia
  • Pneumonitis
  • Viral pneumonia

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
