Special Issue on Bioconversion Technologies
Bioconversion
Technologies (BCT), also known as biotransformation
technologies, refer to the use of live organisms often microorganisms to carry
out a chemical reaction that is more costly or not feasible nonbiologically. These
technologies convert substance to chemically modified forms or synthesize new
material through a series of metabolic pathways. Bioconversion technologies
have been used in many areas such as drug modification and synthesis,
production of bioenergy, degradation of hazardous material or pollutants etc. Nowadays,
with the rapid development of economy, the fuel and environment crisis is increasingly
serious, and bioconversion technologies have been widely concerned for its
using in these areas. This special issue is providing a platform to share the
innovation in the recently developments in Bioconversion
Technologies.
In
this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to
submit original researches and review articles on exploring bioconversion technologies. Potential
topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Biological fermentation
-
Bio-treatment of waste effluents
-
Biodegradation of hazardous material
-
Production of biofuel
-
Enzyme or metabolic pathway study of BT
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an
electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript
title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Bioconversion Technologies” should
be chosen during your submission.
