Special Issue on Advances in Algae Research
Algae are photosynthetic organisms that occur in most habitats, ranging from marine and freshwater to desert sands and from hot boiling springs to snow and ice. They vary from small, single-celled forms to complex multicellular forms. Algae are important as primary producers of organic matter at the base of the food chain. Algae may contribute to mass mortality of other organisms, but they also contribute to economic well- being in the form of food, medicine and other products.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring advances in algae research. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Algae morphology and physiology
-
Algae cultivation
-
Algae harvesting
-
Algae products and economics
-
Eutrophication and algal blooms
-
Algae extraction technology
-
Algal biomass and biofuels
-
Emerging technologies in algae biology
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Advances in Algae Research” should be chosen during your submission.
