Special Issue on Glutamate Receptors
Glutamate Receptors are synaptic receptors located primarily on the membranes of neuronal cells.
Glutamate (glutamic acid) is particularly abundant in the nervous system and
especially prominent in the human brain. Many neurodegenerative diseases has
been linked or speculated to be linked to the central role of Glutamate Receptors in excitotoxicity
and prevalence in the central nervous system, and several other conditions have
been further linked to glutamate receptor gene mutations or receptor
autoantigen/antibody activity.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on
exploring glutamate
receptors. Potential topics include, but are not
limited to:
-
Function of Glutamate
receptors
-
Types of Glutamate
receptors
-
Structure of Glutamate
receptors
-
Mechanism of Glutamate
receptors
-
Glutamate receptors
regulation
-
General clinical
implications
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should
submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission
System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your
manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special
Issue – Glutamate Receptors”
should be chosen during your submission.
