Special Issue on Geographic Information System
A geographic information system (GIS) is a
framework for gathering, managing, and analyzing data. Rooted in the science of
geography, GIS integrates many types of data. It analyzes spatial location and
organizes layers of information into visualizations using maps and 3D scenes.
With this unique capability, GIS reveals deeper insights into data, such as
patterns, relationships, and situations—helping users make smarter decisions. The
goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and
academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new
issues and developments in the area of Geographic
Information System.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on
exploring Geographic Information System. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not
limited to:
-
Spatial
data infrastructure
-
Relating
information from different sources
-
GIS
techniques and technology
-
GIS
uncertainties and GIS data mining
-
Data
representation and data capture
-
Spatial
analysis with GIS
-
Applications
of geographic information system
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should
submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is
supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Geographic Information System” should be chosen during your submission.
