Special Issue on Viral Hepatitis
Viral hepatitis is an academic topic that focuses on the inflammation of
the liver caused by viral infections. It encompasses several types of viruses,
including hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E. These viruses are transmitted through
contaminated food or water, blood transfusions, sexual contact, or from mother
to child during childbirth. Understanding viral hepatitis involves studying its
epidemiology, prevention strategies, diagnostic techniques, treatment options,
and long-term complications such as cirrhosis and liver cancer.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Viral Hepatitis. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Hepatitis A virus (HAV) epidemiology and prevention
-
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) virology, pathogenesis, and
immunology
-
Hepatitis C virus (HCV) treatment and antiviral
therapy
-
Hepatitis D virus (HDV) co-infection and management
-
Hepatitis E virus (HEV) transmission dynamics and
zoonotic reservoirs
-
Liver fibrosis and cirrhosis in viral hepatitis
-
HIV and viral hepatitis co-infection
-
Viral hepatitis and hepatocellular carcinoma
-
Development of diagnostic tests and biomarkers
-
Hepatitis virus-host interactions and viral
replication mechanisms
-
Liver transplantation and viral hepatitis
-
Epidemiology, transmission and prevention
-
Vaccination
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
