Special Issue on Neurodegeneration
Neurodegeneration is the umbrella term for the progressive loss of structure or function of neurons, including death of neurons. Many neurodegenerative diseases including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and Huntington's occur as a result of neurodegenerative processes.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring neurodegeneration. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Genetics
-
Protein misfolding
-
Protein degradation pathways
-
Membrane damage
-
Mitochondrial dysfunction
-
Axonal transport
-
Programmed cell death
-
Specific disorders
-
Aging and neurodegeneration
-
Therapeutics
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Neurodegeneration” should be selected during your submission.
