The research interests of Dr. Sirois are focused on pulmonary pharmacology, and particularly on the pathophysiology of asthma and inflammatory reactions. His research is supported by various agencies including the Medical Research Council of Canada now called Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the “Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec”, the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, etc. Dr. Sirois has played a major role in the characterization of the structure of SRS-A, now called leukotrienes, and of their pharmacological activities. He is the author of more than 330 publications and 530 abstracts in international journals (see PubMed). He has been invited to deliver more than 300 conferences in various countries.
