  ABSTRACT: The purpose of this research was to examine the differences between the two genders in terms of occupational stress and burnout, as well as the effect of years of service on 141 Primary Education teachers. The degree of correlation between stress and burnout was also examined. A demographic questionnaire, teachers’ emotional stress questionnaire and teachers’ burnout questionnaire were used for data collection. The results of the study showed that there were no differences between men and women in terms of work stress and burnout. It has also been shown that years of service do not affect the degree of stress and burnout experienced by teachers and are not associated with feelings of exhaustion, depersonalisation, and personal achievement. However, according to the correlation analysis, a statistically significant relationship between work stress and occupational burnout was observed. The findings of this study are in agreement with relevant studies and can be used for early recognition and more effective occupational coping and treatment.
