New Paraphrase of Lieh Tzu New Paraphrase of Kengsang Tzu
As a book of wisdom, Lieh Tzu can open people’s minds and endow people with wisdom and enlightenment. By observing the law of rise and fall in nature, the book promotes Lao Tzu’s obscurity, metaphor, simplicity and subtletly mong others, so it is an indispensable part of Taoist principles. The well-known sayings, fables and essays described in Lieh Tzu can reflect Taoists’ aspiration for spiritual freedom. All the passages in the eight volumes of Lieh Tzu, short or long, have their own themes that can reflect wisdom and philosophy in plain and interesting language. As long as we browse and digest them one by one, we can surely benefit a lot from them in many respects. According to Lieh Tzu, the learner should not only know what it is but also know why it is, the real skills are acquired by practicing with all efforts and as there is no end of knowledge and skills, one should not be satisfied with what he has learned up to the present.
